Corner basins come in space-saving designs, well-suited for cloakroom suites. Cloakrooms can be designed with different types of basins such as wall-hung basins, pedestal basins, recessed basins, counter-top basins and corner basins. Each of them come in distinguished styles though, corner basins form the optimal solution for tiny cloakroom suits as well as for trendy bathroom suites.
Corner cloakroom basins are pre-fabricated with small and flawless shapes to suit petite spaces. An advantage of corner basins is that they are easier to install and can be mounted in such a manner that pipelines are concealed easily in adjacent walls or can be boxed in the corner. They also come with tap holes, which allow them to be easily accommodated in cloakrooms that have no wall mounted taps. Wardrobe corner basins position themselves in compact corners, allowing plenty of free space.
Triangular shaped cloakroom basins form ideal corner basins, rendering minimal design for neater look. Further, corner basins are practically constructed, and are usually available in smaller sizes. The dimensions of the cloakroom suites go well with them. They are usually around 565 millimeters at the wall, projecting 560 millimeters from the wall, though dimensions vary according to manufacturers.
Modern corner basins are supported by ledgers, and come with built in vanity units, particularly suitable for small spaces. The corner position allows easy access to bathroom items such as a hand wash and a towel rail nearby. A simple mirror would suit a corner basin, as it does not require any elaborate designs to enhance its appearance or conceal pipelines. A color match with the toilet seat and tiles is sufficient.
Moreover, corner basins have practically no drawbacks unlike the wall-mounted ones, which require special boards in accordance to their size and weight. Therefore corner basins are meant for utility, maximizing free space, besides allowing optimal storage cabinets and sleek appearance.
